It all started with childhood friends building backyard forts. It should have been obvious when a simple, one room tree-house just would not satisfy our imagination, that we had a genuine passion for building.

Our interests quickly moved from forts with secret passageways to multi-level labyrinths with windows and covered decks that stretched off into the tree tops. Unique design details were incorporated to accommodate covert missions and store critical supplies of ammunition and the stash of Little Debbie snack cakes.

We started Dovetail Homes to share our passion for building. While Dovetail’s custom homes are more sophisticated than our childhood forts, the basic principles remain the same: apply the fundamentals of sound home construction to the unique requirements and personal priorities of our customers.
